Welcome to my portfolio! I’m Riwa Rassi, a recent graduate from American University in Washington, DC where I earned a Bachelor’s in Visual Communication Design and Studio Art.  As a designer, I am eager to create meaningful user experiences and craft beautiful, impactful designs. My background in fine arts allows me to merge traditional techniques with modern design, something that I love to incorporate in my work. I freelance, but thrive best in a collaborative environment with a team.

In my freelance projects, I’ve designed logos and print collateral such as business cards, loyalty cards, gift vouchers, and menus. What excites me most is creating packaging designs and branding materials that tell a story and connect with an audience. I’m proficient in tools like Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, and Figma, and I’m always looking for ways to learn and grow.

Looking ahead, I aspire to contribute to projects that have a positive impact. I dream of working with mission-driven brands and organizations, creating designs that inspire and facilitate experiences for people. I hope to grow into a leadership role one day where I can guide creative teams, foster collaboration, and mentor others, but until then I am just eager to create and put more designs into the world.  My ultimate goal is to use design as a tool to make the world more beautiful, functional, and connected.

When I’m not designing, I love visiting museums, experimenting with new art techniques, or exploring nature for inspiration.
